I have been out of service for a couple of months!
Kidney Stones, Hospital Stays, Lithoblasty, Steptic Blood Poisoning, Nuff Said!
The Dell Mini-9 has really proved it's worth over the last couple of months!
Luckly for me the Hospital where I was at has public WiFi access which I used a great deal to keep in touch with friends and relatives. With the built-in Webcam of the Mini-9 I was even able to talk to my Son in Idaho. It was nice to be able to keep in touch so easily with people on the "outside" and I suspect that may have also helped the healing process - but the doctor's would probably say it was their skills...
My 'day job' is Network Administrator for a County Library System in Florida and there were some issues that needed my attention. With the Mini-9 Wifi capabilities and the capabilities of Windows XP RDP (Remote Desktop) I was able to log into my workstation at work and correct all the issues remotely. Not bad for being connected to three different antibiotic IV bags laying in a hospital bed and performing network administration remotely.
Well - I want to keep this posting short and will post a little later with more news and uses of the Mini-9 laptop computer.
